What to Expect When You're Expecting (2012)

May 21, 2012

After 5 weeks at the box office its still holding at #10 - Grossing a total of $38.8M

This was a good movie although I was expecting it to be a little funnier. From the look of the trailer it appeared like it was going to be pure comedy, it was more of a drama. I didn't really laugh hard until the end when they all started having their babies. This was mostly due to the fact that I can relate to what these women are going through. I don't know how funny it would be to a person that doesn't have any kids. Although, I went straight from laughing to crying so this movie sent me through all the emotions. The sign of a good movie, I always say.

Chris Rock was a little loud as usual and he seemed to talk way more than the other men in the story. It almost seems like they purposefully enhance his voice. I would hate to be in a room with the man if not. I would recommend seeing this movie although, it wouldn't hurt to wait until it gets out on dvd. I don't remember any parts off hand that would prevent me from letting my 8 year old see it but I'm sure she would probably be bored and leave the room anyway.
